Scaffolding is great, but how do workers get up there?

Scaffolding is enclosing the lower parts of the Cathedral with the goal of going all the way to the tops of the spires. When completed, roofers will remove the copper foil wrapped shingles and install solid copper shingles.

Ladders give roofers access to the scaffolding.
Stairs get roofers to their destination quickly and safely.

How do workers get the shingles to the spires?

An elevator arrived today. It will attach to the scaffolding and carry large loads of shingles to the spires.
