The weather was perfect on Easter Monday: plenty of sunshine, very little wind.

These weather conditions were ideal for lifting several steel beams into place at the base of the central spire. The construction crew completed the job in one day.

The beams will serve as a platform for additional scaffolding that will enclose the central spire in anticipation of stripping the old roof and applying a new one. Scaffolding construction is expected to begin next week.
