Construction Update for June 18, 2025: Scaffolding work begins
Scaffolding is going up over the entrance to the school. This will be the primary way in and out of the school building.

The space between the church and school will be open only on Sundays to give everyone access to the south entrance to the church.

Workers are beginning to erect the scaffolding today.

Scaffolding will eventually completely enclose the Cathedral so that roofers can replace the copper shingles from the tops of the crosses down to the lower roof.

Does this work impact Sunday Masses?

No, all Masses will go ahead as usual. You may enter the Cathedral through the front doors – although you’ll be stepping underneath scaffolding and other materials which will protect you if any falling debris comes your way.

What does this mean if we have meetings during the week?

Use the north entrance.

Access to the south entrance is limited to Sundays only. The lower level entrance on the north side leads to the Heiring Auditorium, the Halpine Room, and the rest of the area.

Your ministry leader will remind you to use the north entrance and will be standing there to let you in. At no point will the north entrance be unlocked or propped open.

Enter the lower level of the church through the north entrance.
